B.Ed. Counseling

Teaching a global career

B.Ed. eligibility testGone are the days when ladies took up teaching as an option to kill time. Changing your career in the mid, leaving a high profile job of a banker or a manager to take up teaching, just because there is no one to look after your kids is also a passé. Today in the global village opportunities are amass when it comes to being a teacher. There are lots of opportunities available in the field of teaching. Countries like US and UK always have requirement of qualified teachers. One can give tuitions to the students of these countries from the comforts of her home in India itself. If you wish to move abroad, you can be a full time teacher. In some countries you have to clear a qualifying test other than having a recognised B.Ed. degree from any UGC and NCTE approved university. Countries like Singapore and Malaysia or gulf countries like Dubai have CBSE affiliated schools. These schools are good pay masters. If a candidate is qualified (has a B.Ed. degree) and has command over her subject then she can get a six figure salary.

If you have a good command over English and find teaching to be an interesting career option, then you may pursue B.Ed. Today, we have seen many youngsters choosing teaching as a passion, not as a secondary option. There have been examples of couples, who are both teachers and they, plan to work in some foreign country. The schools provide free accommodation and education of kids. This way they are able to save most of their salaries. At the same time the kids are brought up in a better environment. So, if you thought B.Ed. is for only those ladies, who intend to take up a job in the neighboring school, think again. Teaching profession may prove to be game changer. You may earn more than an engineer does and that to by giving less numbers of hours to you job. This is the time of the year when B.Ed. admission begins. Some universities like GGSIP University and University of Delhi have B.Ed. eligibility test. There are very less number of B.Ed. colleges in delhi university. Those students who are unable to get admission in B.Ed. in DU look for options in Universities like MDU rohtak University or Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind. The university is about to begin its B.Ed admission process. Very soon the university is going to release b.ed application form. One needs to be a graduate with fifty percent marks to take admission in B.Ed. 2015. After the registration process the university releases the merit list of registered students. The merit is based on the marks scored in the qualifying exam. B.Ed. counseling is done based on that merit.

The whole process being online in the last days the server becomes heavy, so candidates are not able to register themselves. Secondly there is a banking process involved, which takes 48 hours to reflect the payments. So if you have registered at the last moment you may not be able to deposit the money in time hence not completing your online registration process.

It is important to complete this registration process properly. Otherwise one will not be able to participate in the counseling process which further means that you will not be allotted any B.Ed. college

B.Ed admission, eligibility criteria in M D University

First of all I would like to thank all those people who have appreciated the content of our articles. We are receiving lot of mails for the same. There had been many queries about the B.Ed admission eligibility criteria. Though simply speaking the answer to the same can be given in one line ie 50 percent marks in graduation or post graduation. The eligibility criteria for B.Ed admission varies from university to university. In some universities only a candidate who is a graduate in arts or science is eligible that means B.Com. Graduates are not eligible for admission in B.Ed. even those with professional degrees like B.Tech or Law  are not eligible.

In MD university rohtak , Kurukshetra university and CDLU ie Ch. Devi Lal university, the eligibility criteria remains the same. Any person who has a graduation degree in any stream is eligible for doing B.Ed. That means even if a candidate has done B.Tech or BPT (physiotherapist), he/she is eligible for doing B.Ed from Md university, rohtak or any of the universities from Haryana. The only condition is for taking admission in B.Ed. is 50 percent marks in the same.

Now, if a student does not have 50 percent marks in his bachelors and still one wants to pursue B.Ed from M D university. The second option available is that a candidate should have more than 50 percent in Post graduation. Again for doing B.Ed it is not necessary that the PG should be in any of the traditional stream.

Simply put even if you are an MBA from a valid university and you meet the percentage requirement you are eligible to pursue B.Ed from M D University.

So, if one wants to take admission in B.Ed. in M D university then the only requirement is more than 50 percent marks in either graduation or post graduation in any stream.

There is yet another criteria available, but only for reserved category students. If a candidate belongs to reserved category then the minimum percentage criteria is reduced to 45 percent marks.

This criteria is applicable to candidates whose reservation certificates are from Haryana. They should be a permanent resident of Haryana state. Any candidate of reserved category who seeks admission in B.Ed. in M D University, but does not belong to Haryana has to do it under general category. They cannot claim the benefits provided to reserved category students.

Another Important thing regarding eligibility criteria for B.Ed. admission is that in these universities there is no rounding off of the percentage. Even if a candidate is having 49.99 percentage score she is ineligible for taking admission in B.Ed. in CDLU or M D university.

In our next article we will write about seat reservation for B.Ed. admission  in M D university. Also in the coming days we will write about online registration /online admission process in M D University, Rohtak or Ch. Devi Lal University.

In this column we will keep on updating the details related to B.Ed. from MD university, rohtak and kurukshetra university or CDLU ie Ch. Devi Lal university from time to time.
