The term Psychoanalysis as used for the first time by Sigmund Freud to refers to the method he used to dig deep into the underlying causes of behavior and personality. In the last few years the teaching profession has seen lot of changes. The changes have been in positive direction. Salary structures have increased considerably. In past, any graduate would become teacher. But now, schools hire only qualified teachers. Non B.Ed. employees are not engaged anymore. Even if some school may take a non qualified teacher, the salary offered will be low.
With background of all these things lot of females take admission in B.Ed. every year. In Haryana alone, B.Ed. colleges have more than 40,000 seats. As it is with law now B.Ed. is also integrated with graduation. Now you can do B.Ed. after XII class. It is a four year course leading to B.A. Ed. Or B.Sc.Ed. the seats for four year B.Ed. are very less in number. In Haryana we have only 100 seats. And, all over India we have only six colleges which offer four year B.Ed. There is no age limit for integrated B.Ed. but one must have completed class XII after 2013. There is an entrance test. This admission test is common for all the (six) colleges of India. At present there is no private college having 4 year B.Ed. All these colleges are government run. For four year B.Ed. admission 2015 in MDU the forms are already out. The forms will be available till 10th of May. Then there will be an entrance test.
Eligibility for four years B.Ed. leading to B.A. ED. Or B.Sc.Ed.
Commerce students are not eligible to join the four years B.Ed. this course is framed only for arts and science background students. The candidate should have scored minimum 60 percent marks in class XII in order to sit for the entrance. Vocational course students are also not eligible to do four year B.Ed.
B.Ed. admission for two year course.
The traditional B.Ed. which was a one year course has been stopped by NCTE. From the session 2015-16 onwards, B.Ed. is a 2 year course. Most of the universities have started formulating there course structures as per the 2 year system. Some people have put up court case against some of the new norms presented by NCTE. It is likely that these issues will be resolved soon and the clean picture will be out soon.
The official notification of admission in B.Ed. 2015 for universities like MDU and KUK is not yet announced. But as per the previous years the admission will be not through any entrance exam. The total score of academic qualification of the candidate will be used. On the basis of this score a merit list will be formed and finally through the counseling process, candidates will be offered their choice of college.
Pre registration is must for participating in the process of counseling. the formal announcement for the same is expected in the month of May.

The sessions are never delayed. The schedules are declared in the beginning of the session. There are final theory Exams in June every year. There are no delays. The University has been granted ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The admission process for B.Ed. is also very simple in MDU. Most of the work is done online. If one studies properly she is able to score good marks in B.Ed. which further helps her in getting a teaching job.
Duration of the Course: For session 2014 -15 B.Ed. from MDU was a 1 year course. Nowfrom the session 2015-17 onwards NCTE has given new norms. This new notification was released in dec 2014, by NCTE, the Duration of B.Ed. course is now 2 year. MDU has not released any notification. secondly, some people have put up a case in the court of law against some norms of NCTE. Thus as of now it is a wait and watch story on the duration of the course.
Admission: Admission in B.Ed from MDU is done by counseling. The candidates fill up form to register their name for the online counseling and the whole process of choice filling and counseling goes on for minimum 2 weeks. B.Ed. College is allotted to the student as per the merit.
Documents Required for Admission:
All the documents should be attested by class 1 government official. 3 sets of academic testimonials should be provided as follows:
Marksheets of all academis qualifications class X onwards and passing certificate of school boards ie class X and XII.
- Degree certificate of graduation is not required.
- photocopies will be required for Mark sheets of graduation and Post-Graduation (if any)
- 10 Photographs
- Migration certificate from the last attended university is required to be deposited in original. This certificate can be deposited at later stage say by the month of October.
MDU B.Ed admission Eligibility: NCTE is the national body which regulates B.Ed. education in India. NCTE has kept the minimum requirement for admission in B.Ed. candidate scoring more than 50% marks in graduation ie. Any stream Arts, commerce, science or any equivalent exam. For eligibility purpose, If the student has scored less in Bachelor’s degree then the score of Master degree is taken into account but again the score should be minimum 50% Marks.
MDU B.Ed Entrance Test : In the past there was an entrance test for B.Ed. admission in Haryana. CET score was used to make the Merit list. Now for B.Ed. admission in MDU there is no entrance test. The marks scored in bachelor’s or in masters exam are considered for admission. Merit is based on the same.
The government has formed various councils to maintain the standards in education To regulate the teacher education, there is a national body named NCTE ie to regulate M.Ed.,D.Ed. B.ElEd.,B.Ed. and other teaching courses. The B.Ed. admission requirements are recommended by the NCTE. B.Ed. colleges are required to follow the procedure and minimum eligibility criteria as regulated by NCTE. NCTE has come up with its latest regulation in 2014 for Admission in B.Ed. Government body named NCTE (National council for teachers Education) forms all the rules and norms. NCTE is a statutory body of government of india. The students seeking admission in B.Ed. should have bachelors degree from a recognized university in India. The student should secure minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate of all the subjects. While calculating the division, the marks of exempted subjects, may not have been considered, will also be added for the purpose of calculating the aggregate for B.Ed. admission.
Let’s assume a candidate has cleared B.A. honours from University of Delhi. For Grand total and the marks obtained of all three years we do not include the subsidiary papers. Thus Grand total mentioned in the final mark card of third year will not be considered for B.Ed. admission 2015. Total marks will also include the subsidiary papers and if the candidate has scored low in those exams it will affect the percentage obtained. Thus the score will become low. This will affect the B.Ed. admission ranking of the student. If the aggregate is lower than 50 percent than the student will become ineligible for admission in B.Ed. 2015. Even though she may have scored more than 50 percent marks in honours, for example in university of Calcutta there are language subjects and optional subject. the marks of language subject are not added anywhere and for optional subject only the marks obtained above a particular score are added. Also the maximum marks of the optional subject are not added in grand total, due to this there is an undue surge in the final percentage. Now with the new norm in force this will not be valid all three have to be considered for calculating the final score for B.Ed. admission 2015.. If you do not have 50 percent marks in graduation then the score of post graduation can be taken for B.ed. admission 2015.
