CTET Qualifying Marks and Certificate

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE. There are two tests in CTET. These are :

 

  1. CTET Paper-I : It is for teachers willing to teach in primary classes (I-V) only. If they want to teach elementary classes (class VI-VIII) too they need to appear for Paper-II also. It means they have to appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II.
  2. CTET Paper-II : It is for teachers willing to teach in elementary classes (Class VI-VIII) only. Here CBSE has given two options. First is Maths & Science teachers and second is Social Science or other subject teacher. If this teachers want to teach in primary classes too, he/she need to give Paper-I too.

 

Qualifying Marks : There will be total 150 MCQ for total 150 marks. Candidates have to score atleast 60% marks (means total 90 out of 150 marks) to obtain certificate from CBSE. He/She have to pass both the papers separately if he/she want certification for both primary and elementary examination.

 

CBSE Certification Validity : The CTET score will be valid for 7 years from the date of issue of certificate. Candidates can sit in CTET exam any number of times to improve their score.
