The term Psychoanalysis as used for the first time by Sigmund Freud to refers to the method he used to dig deep into the underlying causes of behavior and personality. He studied medicine in Vienna, Austria and began his career as a surgeon. After taking a course in psychiatry, freud shifted his interest to the treatment of patients suffering from Hyshria – a nervous disorder of memory- lapse with fainting spells and suspension of normal activity. He came to know that hysteria was a psychical disorder which required psychological treatment. He collaborated with Bruer and used Hypnosis to dig out the deep rooted arises.
Freud found hypnosis ineffective and hence abandoned it in favour of encouraging his patients to speak freely and report whatever thoughts they had in their thinking. Freud termed this Free Association. The patient was asked to relax on a couch in a room free from distraction and urged to speak out all thoughts without inhibition on modification
This underground journey was pretty exciting as it unearthed a lot of hitherto forbidden thoughts. Some of the events and episodes even quiet embarrassing to face since these was loaded with a good deal of anxiety. By establishing Rapport a cordial relationship with the patient based on trust and confidence, Freud was able to excavate a lot of hostile feeling and emotions. This CATHARSIS the outpouring of pent-up feeling brought relief from hystera. Thus the credit of brining the Unconscious to the Conscious goes squarely to Freud. On the credit of his clinical analysis Freud formulated a theory of personality using a number of HYPOTHETICAL CONSTRUCTS. We may not be able to find objective proof for the existence of a number of constructs used by Freud. But Freud’s theories are immensely useful in the treatment of conflicts and neurotic disorders.
ID , Ego And Superego
According to Freud, personality is made up of thee dynamic forces, namely the ID, the EGO and the Superego. They interact closely with one another and determine the personality of the individual.
ID: The basic building blocks with which every individual is endowed at birth, according to Freud comprise the untamed, uncivilized, blind, instinctual impulses always seeking immediate of gratification of need, regardless of social approval or disapproval Thus ID is – primitive, selfish and destructive. It lends itself for expansion like “I Demand “ ”I Desire” the first two letters of the world “ I DIQT” as well.
Logical laws of thought do not apply to the ID contrary impulses exit site by site, without canceling each other out. The ID in the reservoir of energy , which frued called LIBIDO for the whole personality.
Freud likened the ID to a ‘salting cauldron’ which contained ever bubbling primitive urges and desires. He believed that these urges indiscriminately sought expression in external reality. The ID even thus conceived of as “amoral” since it is even unconcerned with the niceties and ‘convention of society. During early infancy parents are usually permissive and tolerant, Hence ID enjoys unbridled expression the baby especially the first one to parents, can demand anything and get it. ID operates according to the first one to the ‘pleasure principal, “the aim of these impulses are always immediate, and complete satisfaction, the pleasure principal appeared to be an outgrowth of the concept of philosophical HEDONISM , a doctrine which states that people always strive to maximize pleasure and minimize pain.

The government has formed various councils to maintain the standards in education To regulate the teacher education, there is a national body named NCTE ie to regulate M.Ed.,D.Ed. B.ElEd.,B.Ed. and other teaching courses. The B.Ed. admission requirements are recommended by the NCTE. B.Ed. colleges are required to follow the procedure and minimum eligibility criteria as regulated by NCTE. NCTE has come up with its latest regulation in 2014 for Admission in B.Ed. Government body named NCTE (National council for teachers Education) forms all the rules and norms. NCTE is a statutory body of government of india. The students seeking admission in B.Ed. should have bachelors degree from a recognized university in India. The student should secure minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate of all the subjects. While calculating the division, the marks of exempted subjects, may not have been considered, will also be added for the purpose of calculating the aggregate for B.Ed. admission.
Let’s assume a candidate has cleared B.A. honours from University of Delhi. For Grand total and the marks obtained of all three years we do not include the subsidiary papers. Thus Grand total mentioned in the final mark card of third year will not be considered for B.Ed. admission 2015. Total marks will also include the subsidiary papers and if the candidate has scored low in those exams it will affect the percentage obtained. Thus the score will become low. This will affect the B.Ed. admission ranking of the student. If the aggregate is lower than 50 percent than the student will become ineligible for admission in B.Ed. 2015. Even though she may have scored more than 50 percent marks in honours, for example in university of Calcutta there are language subjects and optional subject. the marks of language subject are not added anywhere and for optional subject only the marks obtained above a particular score are added. Also the maximum marks of the optional subject are not added in grand total, due to this there is an undue surge in the final percentage. Now with the new norm in force this will not be valid all three have to be considered for calculating the final score for B.Ed. admission 2015.. If you do not have 50 percent marks in graduation then the score of post graduation can be taken for B.ed. admission 2015.

It is advisable to a candidate that she may join B.Ed. in regular mode from MDU. As there are lot of B.Ed. colleges in Delhi NCR region in gurgaon or other cities like Faridabad, jujjhar, mahindergarh etc. Many B.Ed. Colleges have their own means of transport. Student from Delhi prefer to join B.Ed. regular from MDU as, its affiliated B.Ed. Colleges are easily approachable. Regular B.Ed. admission in MDU is easy in comparison tor B.Ed. from Delhi University or getting admission in B.Ed. regular in IP University. In both these Universities (DU and IP) the number of seats are very less, say few thousands. Secondly, there is entrance exam for admission to B.Ed. The forms for IP university are already over.
As engineering and other professional courses, B.Ed can be done in regular mode only. Although, IGNOU University does have a B.Ed. program, which runs in distance mode. But that is a four semester course which is available for only in service teachers. The eligibility criteria are different from B.Ed. admission in MDU and other Universities offering B.Ed. in Delhi. In IGNOU there is an entrance exam for B.Ed. admission. This B.Ed. entrance exam is conducted at national level. No of seats are very less and are distributed district wise. B.ed. course is run through the school where the candidate is already teaching. Secondly the student should have minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an affiliated school in secondary classes. Student, who has teaching experience in junior classes i.e. from nursery till 5th, is not eligible for B.Ed. admission in IGNOU. Such students should try for B.Ed. admission in MDU or other universities of Haryana. For the session 2014- 2015 B.Ed. was a one year course. NCTE has come up with new norms for 2015. As per the new norms of NCTE, a regular B.Ed. from any UGC approved university will be a 2 year course. Some bodies have put up a case in the high court against these norms. Now the decision is pending. As of now, there is no notification regarding this, from the universities. If these norms come into force then B.Ed. 2 year course will be implemented. Otherwise, the formal system of 1 year B.Ed. admission will take place.
MDU and KUK also run distance course in B.Ed. The norms and eligibility are same as that of IGNOU. The only difference is that for B.Ed. admission in MDU or KUK distance mode the student should be teaching in any school of Haryana. Secondly, MDU does not open the admission for B.Ed. 2 year course in distance mode every year. Also, in the new norms there is no intimation from NCTE in regard to B.Ed. in distance mode.
